Training Program in Singapore

An advanced training program is to be conducted for 22 officers of the Attorney General’s Department from 11th to 14th of August 2014 in Singapore.

The training program has been organized upon a proposal of the Hon. Attorney General with  the view of enhancing the knowledge of the officers in key areas of commercial and financial law and is being funded by the Ministry of Finance and Planning. The National University of Singapore is conducting the training and the four day program will cover matters relating to Financing (Syndicated Loans and Bonds) by Associate Professor Willie Tan, Negotiating and Contract Drafting by Senior Counsel Philip Jeyaratnam, Construction and Infrastructure Projects by Associate Professor Philip Chan, Dispute Resolution by Senior Counsel Michael Hwang and Bonds, Guarantees, Insurance and Indemnities by Associate Professor Lim Pin.

The officers are also scheduled to visit the Attorney General’s Chambers of Singapore on the 15th of August. During this visit, the officers will be given an introduction  about the Attorney General’s Chambers of Singapore and will also engage in a discussion on Techniques in International Negotiations and Negotiating Specific types of Agreements.
